~1. kérdésre: The series of events in Ciri's life are as follows: Geralt lifted a curse on Emhyr when he was 13. He turned him into a monster and became known as Urcheon. Fleeing those that would kill him, he assumed the name "Duny". For part of each day, he appeared as a normal person, but for the rest he turned into a creature resembling a hedgehog.

The King of Cintra was wounded and found by Duny who had been roaming the world evading capture or slaughter. The king told him that a "child-surprise" might lift his curse. Later on, he befriended the king's daughter, Pavetta who was to be married at 15. Duny and Pavetta had fallen in love. When he announced his real identity and that he was the one arranged to marry her, a fight broke out. Geralt saved Duny's life. Because of this, he promised Geralt to give up his own child to them to become a witcher (child-surprise = Law of Surprise "what he had at home without knowing or expecting it") since Pavetta was pregnant and he was unaware of this.

Thus Ciri was born and promised to the witchers. As an infant, she had been taken to live with her grandmother, Queen Calanthe of Cintra when both her parents were lost at sea and were presumed dead. When she was six, Geralt went to collect the child and bring it back to Kaer Morhen. He was not even aware of her gender and did not meet her at that time. She'd spent her youth in Cintra and the Skellige Isles.

When Geralt first met Ciri, she was lost in the forest of Brokilon. She was nearly taken by dryads who tried to make her onw of their own but she failed the Waters of Oblivion trial. They allowed her to chose her own fate and she chose to go with Geralt but he didn't take her with him at that time. He left her with a druid who worked for Calanthe.

Then there was the slaughter of Cintra. During the first Nilfgaard invasion of Cintra, Ciri was kidnapped by Cahir, a Nilfgaard knight. She managed to escape and made it to Sodden and was adopted by a merchant. Later on that same merchant had helped Geralt and took him to his home where Ciri and Geralt were reunited. That time, Geralt took her back with him to Kaer Morhen. They trained her as a witcher (without the mutations) along with all of the other witchers and Triss Merigold. She was determined to be a source, more powerful than a sorceress, because of her Elder Blood.

She later was taken to the Temple of Melitele where she received training from Nenneke and then from Yennefer in magic. It was Yen's intention that Ciri be taken to Aretuza and trained as a sorceress.

Instead, however, there had been a coup and Cahir tried to abduct Ciri once again. She again escaped through an unstable magical portal in Tor Lara and into the Korath Desert. She wandered the desert getting quite lost and nearly died from exhaustion and dehydration. She met a unicorn and named him Horsey that helped her out of the desert.

Soon after she joined a group of thieves known as the Rats. Stefan Skellen had issued a bounty on Ciri's life and Baron Casade another for her capture. Bounty hunter Leo Bonhart accepted both bounties and set off to trap Ciri. During her time with Rats, she was regularly beaten and ♥♥♥♥♥ by them. Leo found the Rats, slaughtered them all and took Ciri for himself, fulfilling neither of his contracts. He beat her, abused her and forced her to fight in the arena at Claremont.

Ciri escaped with some help when Leo had gone to negotiate with Skellen, possibly to finally surrender Ciri to them. Leo killed those who had helped Ciri escape from him and in the fight, Skellen wounded Ciri, giving her that scar on her cheek. She was found near death by Vysogota of Corvo, to whom she related all that had happened to her (Tower of Swallows book). Leo continued to pursue her as she escape to Tor Zireael.

Through a portal there, she went to the world of the Aen Elle elves and met Avallac'h. He said she had to make up for what her ancestors had stolen from them, Lara Doren left the elves to be with a human she had fallen in love with. He said she had to have a child with the king of the Aen Elle and that child would settle the debt owed and it would be the only way she would be allowed to leave. She was at first quite attracted to Eredin whom she met on the way to the capital city and the king. He tried to use and control her through this.

In the capital, the king Auberon tried many times to conceive a child with Ciri but he could not. Eredin suggested a potion which might help only he tricked him and gave him poison instead. He also told Ciri that Avallac'h did not intend to ever let her go. The unicorns were at war with the Aen Elle at this time and with their help, she was reunited with Horsey, the unicorn that had saved her from the desert. They told her that the elves wanted her for the power her Elder Blood contained. They wanted to regain the power of time and space again to conquer other worlds. They helped her escape since they could not allow this.

Later that day, Ciri found Auberon dead from the poison. When she tried to escape, she was stopped by Eredin and then learned of his true intentions, which were the same as Avallac'h's. They fought and she wounded him. She fled and learned to use her own powers to control time and space, jumping to several worlds until finally reqturning to her own.

She'd hopped all around and found Geralt and Yen as they lay dying at that massacre, rescuing them with the help of the unicorns and dropping them in Avalon, or as it was referred to as "Avallach" in W2 to heal their wounds. She left soon afterward since the Wild Hunt were still in pursuit. That's when Eredin devised his plan to capture Yen figuring that Ciri would try to rescue her and he could once again capture her. But Ciri did not fall for it.

When Geralt discovered Yen missing, he set out to find her, learning that Eredin had her, he chased after them, encountering them many times and killing many of the Wild Hunt until he finally found Eredin. He fought and defeated him only to learn that it had been a projection and not the actual elf. He'd offered his own soul in exchange for Yen's life and it was accepted. Yen was set free but with amnesia. She soon regained much of her memory with the help of court mages.

Geralt rode with the Red Riders for some time until Ciri found and rescued him, dropping him in the forest outside of Kaer Morhen (events at the start of TW1) and once again fled. He had amnesia as well and did not recover it until most of the events in TW2. During this time and later as well, no one had seen Ciri at all. She continued to travel to other worlds trying to stay a step ahead of the Wild Hunt. Six or seven years passed at least until their reunion in TW3.

    2. kérdésre: Geralt's mother was a sorceress who decided to give him away. They meet each other briefly in the books.
