  We are looking for a

  WinFarm Engineer

  For our Budapest Office

  The WinFarm team is looking for a talented engineer for the with a strong internet infrastructure product knowledge with Windows.
  This global group is focused on building hosting platforms for IIS on which the business can deploy a range of applications based on differing technologies (ASP.Net, WCF) for internal as well as external clients.

  The successful candidate will be involved in engineering / development of standard deployment mechanisms for our IIS hosted farm applications as well as development and Integration of new and existing monitoring technologies to ensure capacity on our windows web farm.

  Core web products consist of:
  • IIS 6, IIS 7, ASP.Net and WCF web services

  Each FARM Engineer will be expected to take ownership of at least 1 or 2 product, work closely with the product experts to engineer a hosting solution, enabling the product to be efficiently deployed within the Morgan Stanley enterprise environment. This can include building tools for product management, integration with our configuration and process management systems, deploying monitoring as well as testing and documentation. A FARM Engineer also works closely with internal customers to provide advice on hosting solutions and troubleshooting any reported issue. We also work very closely with our global operations team to handle escalations, providing technical guidance and to ensure tooling is available to aid the operations team to support the plant.

  Skills required:
  • C# development experience
  • 3+ years of experience Developing with .NET Framework 2.0 or higher (ASP.NET)
  • Designing/Building n-tier web applications
  • IIS 6+ experience
  • Good troubleshooting skills

  Skills desired:
  • Windows sysadmin/engineering or security background/experience
  • Perl or python dynamic language experience
  • Networking (TCP) skills and good knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP)
  • Experience in hosting large scale ASP.NET and WCF applications on IIS
  • Understanding of Enterprise HA via Load Balancing
