"The entire ground just died when the ball was played into him but instead of turning and going forward he played a soft pass back that a Fulham player intercepted. He mostly seems lost on the pitch at times. I think until he finds his feet at his “new club” (this is thrown around a lot as an excuse for him), he needs sit on the bench and come on in games when we need something different.
Arteta is literally changing the entire formation from something that almost won us the league last season to something that we are clearly struggling with on the pitch JUST to get Havertz in the team and it’s fucking annoying. Partey is one of the best DMs in the league, but has been stuffed into RB, and one of the best RBs in the league is now playing CB again, when we have Gabriel, one of the best left-footed CBs in the league, sat on the bench. Saka is starving on the RW now when he had a great partnership with White down the right last season.
We had a formula that worked last season. All we needed was good defensive cover and a replacement for Xhaka. We did that when we got Timber and Rice respectively. Havertz was a luxury addition to the squad but that’s no reason to completely break what almost won us the league just so that he can play him."
