Egy pendrive windows alatt csak a lemezkezelésnél látszik:
Az adatmentés nem sikerült (nem tudott olvasni róla a GDB, a Data recovery wizard sem talált rajta adatot).
Linux alatt a gparted nem tudta formázni (vagy nem csináltam jól valamit).Win alatt meg ezt csinálja:

A gparted van rajta a Hirens-en? Ismerős a neve, de azt még most nem próbáltam.
A te problémádra...Flash-nél én erre esküszöm (látam már pár érdekes dolgot, de ez segített): [link]
Korábban a demo 1GB korlátos volt, mostanában nem tudom. De legalább le tudod tesztelni a hatékonyságát. -

Van egy elvileg 64 GB-os pendrive, amit le kellene formázni, de nem lehet (nem tudom hogy ki tudta-e használni a gazdája korábban a kapacitását).
A fakeflashtest szerint valóban ehhez hasonló méretű, csak a végén több GB nem olvasható. Az utolsó jónak vélt szektor alapján nem tudom leformázni, mert az rmprepUSB szerint írásvédett.
