  We are looking for a
  Senior Developer for Core Subledger
  For our Budapest Office

  The Detail Subledger is a key component of the Morgan Stanley’s Firmwide Books and Records and Control Architecture. As part of the multi-year and multi-million dollar initiative, the global Subledger development team will be responsible for the design and implementation of the strategic Detail Subledger platform. The Subledger will have to integrate seamlessly into the firm’s data flow and systems architecture. Primary business sponsors are in Finance, Operations and Risk with significant stake for front office businesses. The system will developed using state-of-art technologies and software development techniques.

  This is an opportunity to be part of a one-of-a-kind, ambitious and challenging multi-year program to develop a state-of-the-art technology platform that will enable Morgan Stanley to advance its capabilities in the areas of Operational Controls, Risk management, P&L and Balance Sheet substantiation, Regulatory Reporting and efficiencies.

  Morgan Stanley has a strong history of developing in-house state of art technologies using tried and tested industry practices, and pushing the envelope where appropriate. This opportunity will open doors to explore new technologies in innovative ways and apply them to solve real world challenges.

  We are looking for strong senior, hands-on technologists who are passionate about technology and have experience developing Java-based, enterprise-wide OLTP systems with large databases. The full-time position will be based out of Budapest.

  Skills Required:
  • Java, RDBMS, real-time event processing and service-oriented distributed architecture
  o Strong experience with server-side Java development
  o Demonstrates strong OO analysis and design skills
  o Background in database-driven applications, including SQL, table design, performance tuning with IBM DB2, Sybase or any other major RDBMS.
  o Experience with real-time, event-driven systems and service-oriented architectures
  o Demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  o Experience working in multi-timezone development team
  o An advanced degree in compute science or engineering
