Star Trek DayWe're celebrating Star Trek's birthday with a special in game museum of the Federation's history on all platforms!
By Fero September 08, 2025, 08:00 AM
On September 8th, 1966, the world first met a group of people, and a ship, that would change our lives forever. Pitched as “wagon train to the stars", and brought to TV by the force of Lucille Ball’s will, Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek hit tiny television screens around the world and immediately captured hearts and minds. Through three seasons, and decades in syndication, The Original Series started a movement that still lasts today, more than half a century later. We live in a time where there’s more new Star Trek than ever before, and we’re looking forward to celebrating the franchise’s birthday with the rest of our Star Trek Family.
From September 8th at 8am PT until September 22nd at 12pm PT on all platforms, there will be a special Starfleet Museum in orbit above Deep Space Nine and Earth Space Dock. The museum contains the starring ships from Star Trek movies, television, and more. Hailing each ship will give you words from their crew, and both in universe and behind the scenes facts about the ship and show. Hailing all ten of the ships will grant you a special title: Historical Documents Expert.
We hope you enjoy this celebration, Captains! Happy Star Trek Day! -

Dehogynem, mit gondolsz miért stagnál a piac?
A sztori végigtolása tényleg rémisztően húzós.

The Klingon Empire Wants You!On PC, create a Klingon Recruit, level up, and earn rewards for your entire account!
By Fero September 06, 2025, 07:00 AM
The Klingon Civil War is over, and true-hearted warriors are needed to ensure a glorious future. All Klingons worthy of the name must join the fight!
The Empire has redoubled its recruiting efforts, and from the shadows the most promising are redirected to a new path. New Klingon Captains will be known as Klingon Recruits, and they bring with them the backing of their shadowy patron. In 2021, the Klingon Starting Experience was completely reimagined, meaning that these Recruits will also have a completely reworked, modern starting story.
There will never be a better time to make a Klingon in Star Trek Online than during the Klingon Recruitment event, which runs from September 8th at 8am PT to September 29th at 12pm PT on PC. Characters made during this time will be Klingon Recruits, and they will earn a host of new benefits and rewards to aid them in their leveling experience. Additionally, we're putting every Klingon item in the Zen Store on sale for 25% off, from September 8th at 8am PT to March 13th at 12pm PT on PC. You can pick up ships, costumes, weapons and more, so go make sure your Klingon is ready to bring glory to you and your house!
Klingon Recruits are designed to emphasize the unique experience of being a warrior of the Empire. They have a number of advantages designed to close the gap that exists between new characters and characters that have been in Star Trek Online for years, all built around the glories of combat. But these Recruits have a secondary responsibility. Their mysterious patron is dead-set on removing Enemies of the Empire. After contacting Klingon Recruits during the tutorial, they are likely to move against these Enemies, attaching additional dangers and rewards to missions along the Klingon Storyline. Recruits who succeed against these Enemies will find themselves with a new T6 Bird-of-Prey that scales with their level. Each recruit’s own Transponder will give them details of their objectives.
Klingon Recruits will have a list of goals that they can achieve at any time, and completing these goals will see them rewarded with equipment, Marks, and other rewards. Many are not only beneficial to the Klingon Recruit, but to all characters on the same account. Completing story arcs will reward you with a unique Ground Universal Kit, completing Ambush Kills in space and Melee Kills on the ground will unlock a Starship Trait and Ground Personal Trait, and all three of these rewards can be shared for all characters on your account.
Klingon Recruits can only be created during the Klingon Recruit event. These recruits can be recognized by the Klingon Symbol next to their names. All Klingon Recruits will have an inherent bonus trait during the Klingon Recruit Event of periodically granting a cache of Dilithium Ore upon defeating enemies, a bonus which extends to your entire group—the Recruit’s mysterious patron appreciates the allies of their ally. This trait will only be available during this event and will be gone once the Klingon Recruitment event ends, so gather your Dilithium Ore while you can!
Additional rewards are gained by leveling up, playing through story content up through the Klingon Civil War story arc, and finding special Klingon Recruit objectives on certain mission maps. Many of the same things that players do while levelling their characters will earn Klingon Recruits improved rewards! Some highlights include:
T6 Scaling Bird-Of-Prey (Recruit and Account – See Below for More Details)Starship Trait that provides windows of opportunity to Cloak safely during combat and improves rewards for doing so (Recruit and Account)Special Bat’leth that scales as you perform Melee Kills (Recruit and Account)Ground Personal Trait that provides scaling bonuses for Melee Kills (Recruit and Account)Endeavor Perk Experience bonus (Recruit and Account)Ground Universal Kit – Piezoelectric Execution Sceptre (Recruit and Account)Very Rare Duty Officer with Crit Energy Weapons Officer Trait (Recruit only)Unique Duty Officer and Admiralty Card (Recruit and account)And lots more, including: Gear, Upgrades, Marks, Elite Marks, and Dilithium to help kick-start the recruit, as well as account-wide Marks, Elite Marks, Dilithium and Upgrades to share the glory!
With the recent return of some House Mo’Kai Warriors to the fold – previously lost to time and Aakar’s influence – Klingon engineers have gained a boon. Some of these warriors are engineers, who carry with them secrets of the ancient Klingon technology that guided the empire before the houses were united. They have combined this with the modern technology and ship design to make some startling breakthroughs, the first of which is the M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey. This ship, designed for new Klingon Recruits, is a breakthrough in technology that allows mass production on a scale the Klingon Empire had never before reached.

A red alleters most kész van. Igaz is utolsó napokba lett kész.

Íme:Kings & Queens - Hand on HeartA trail gone cold has been reignited by the discovery of new intel. Join Admiral Kuumaarke as she delivers on the promise she made many cycles ago in our new Lore Blog!
By Counselor Sunna August 13, 2025, 08:00 AM
Admiral Kuumaarke looked up at the fog above her as a pair of cream-coloured starships sped across the sky, disappearing behind a cluster of gigantic Iconian obelisks. Sat at the bottom of an outdoor stairwell, the Lukari scientist lowered her gaze and took in her surroundings; spiral buildings shaped like towering petals, organic plinths with dome-like caps and long, undulating vines. Most importantly, peppered all around her were the remnants of a recent battle against the Control Borg; an incursion facilitated by the Aetherians, she had been told. Kuumaarke exhaled, then buried her face in her hands.
“Ka na viri i Eteriani lo neorime sezera? Ya Lukar…” she murmured to herself, with anguish and self-reproach.
“Admiral.” Kuumaarke’s comms officer interrupted her train of thought.
Ensign Vaaruunte was walking swiftly towards her, accompanied by an Iconian officer.
“She is ready to see you now,” announced the Iconian. “Please follow me.”
Summoning all of her confidence, Kuumaarke stood up, straightened out her uniform, and followed along.
Vaaruunte narrowed her eyes in an attempt to scrutinize her superior as the two of them trailed behind the Iconian. Kuumaarke’s expression was assertive, yet friendly. She had the poise and presence of an ambassador who could command the attention of an entire room. But beneath this bold display lingered sadness and self-doubt.
“Are you burdening yourself with undue blame again, Admiral?” the ensign whispered, eager to keep their conversation private.
Kuumaarke turned to face Vaaruunte as they walked. The question had taken her aback. Her ensign’s tone was critical, but also perceptibly warm. Before she could reply, the Iconian officer came to a halt. They had arrived at their destination; a large, ring-shaped doorway embedded into a curved wall.
“Welcome to Research Facility K-104. Is this your first time inside the Iconian bastion?” asked the officer.
“No – well, it is our first time setting foot on the ground,” admitted Kuumaarke.
“I hope it will be to your liking.”
“Oh, I am afraid I won’t be staying for long. I must return to the Alpha Quadrant as soon as I can… But, I made a promise,” Kuumaarke assured. “And I am here to fulfill it.”
The Iconian officer nodded knowingly, then approached a console by the entrance to input a series of elusive clearance codes that seemed impossible to decipher. A moment later, a gateway filling the entirety of the doorway materialized into existence.
“After you, Admiral.”
. . .
All individuals entering the research facility were subject to rigorous security scans carried out with a variety of Iconian equipment Kuumaarke had never seen before.
“This way,” the Iconian officer called out.
After passing by heavily shielded vaults, analysis labs, and test chambers, the group eventually reached an even larger ring-shaped doorway.
“You may wait inside our Kida Reliquary,” informed the officer, activating the entrance’s gateway and taking up post beside it. Kuumaarke responded with a brisk nod.
“Wait here, I’ll be back shortly.” She looked at Vaaruunte. “Call on me if needed.”
“Certainly, Admiral,” replied her comms officer.
Kuumaarke stepped in, and disappeared from view.
Mirroring the Iconian officer’s stance, Vaaruunte took up post on the other side of the gateway. The pair stood in silence, both looking straight ahead, arms crossed behind their backs.
Every now and then, their eyes would quickly meet across the circle of light between them, and Vaaruunte would look away hurriedly. After a couple of furtive glances, the Iconian officer decided to break the tension.
“B’Tren,” she remarked with surprising confidence, turning her head towards Vaaruunte.
“Ensign Vaaruunte, Lukari Concordium Comms Officer aboard the L.S.S. Reskava.” The response was instantaneous.
Vaaruunte looked over at B’Tren; she had shifted to lean against a nearby marble pillar, arms crossed in front of her. The air of professionalism between them began to fade as B’Tren chuckled at Vaaruunte’s rehearsed introduction. Disarmed by this unexpected reaction, Vaaruunte’s stern expression turned into a smile.
. . .
At the heart of the Kida Reliquary stood a central podium. Around it, a number of large vats had been placed in a semi-circle. A glowing red shard was suspended inside each of them, lighting up the room in dusky violet. Kuumaarke had never seen a kida shard in person before. She approached one of the vats, leaning in to get a better look. As she focused on one such shard, her eyes began to see patterns, glyphs, bursts of raw energy forming and collapsing. It was mesmerizing. It was…
“Beautiful,” a familiar voice interjected, “Isn’t it?”
Kuumaarke straightened her posture immediately, and turned to face the figure that had appeared behind her.
“Very much so,” the admiral concurred, “Thank you for receiving me, Matriarch.”
Slender and imposing, with a halo-esque ring behind her head, Matriarch L’Miren’s physiology bore great resemblance to Thaseen-Fei’s. It seemed all too obvious in retrospect. Now that Kuumaarke knew the truth, everything from the architecture of the bastion to the clothing worn by the Iconian officer who guided her here reminded her of the Aetherians. She quickly shook off the feeling, determined to recenter herself. She was here to help a people whose World Heart had recently been destroyed, and whose resources had been pilfered.
“Engineer N’Vala tells me that some of your allies assisted us in protecting the kida shard located in vault K-164,” L’Miren remarked, gratitude in her voice.
“Yes, I received a report of the incident,” Kuumaarke confirmed.
“But, I take this is not what you have come to discuss today?” asked the matriarch.
“No.” Kuumaarke’s eyes lit up. “I come bearing good news, I hope. May I?” She pointed at one of the display screens in the room. “I have some pertinent information I’d like to share with you. Highly classified.”
L’Miren nodded, consenting to the use of her facility’s technology. The Lukari admiral took out an isolinear data module from her pocket, and walked up to the display screen. As she placed the module on top of the associated console, L’Miren winced instinctively.
“Don’t worry. It has been thoroughly scanned,” Kuumaarke reassured her. “No Aetherian sabotage detected.”
The matriarch concealed her relief, and nodded. Moments later, the screen activated to display a star system. Shortly after, a hologram of a kida shared flared into existence on top of the central podium behind them.
“You found it,” L’Miren gasped.
“It matches the unique signature you provided me with,” Kuumaarke asserted.
“Who is in possession of it? The Aetherians?”
“That… is trickier to discern. Whoever stole your kida shard is either concealing themselves very well, or moving so fast or so unpredictably that we are unable to scan their vessel.”
“I see,” replied the matriarch, disheartened. “Well, perhaps we can concentrate on its location instead.”
“Right,” Kuumaarke nodded. “The shard traveled from your bastion, presumably through the Dyson Sphere, and made its way into our universe. It was then transported from the Jouret System to the Hrith System, and finally… from the Hrith System to the Drozana System. As you can see, it is now traveling backwards, so to speak.”
“Why?” asked L’Miren, perplexed.
“I am not sure. But, my guess is that it has been stolen multiple times along the way, by several different parties,” Kuumaarke said. “I think it is high time we consider that there may be more people after this kida shard than we originally anticipated.”
“That is unfortunate, but plausible,” L’Miren conceded. “So, the shard finds itself in the Drozana System?”
“Negative,” the admiral replied, shaking her head. “It is on the move again. But… based on a couple of careful calculations, I have been able to pinpoint its trajectory. I believe I know where it’s heading next.”
Kuumaarke raised her tricorder, pointing it at the Iconian PADD. As L’Miren approached the screen, the projection shifted to display a new region of space.
“Hmm…” The matriarch observed the screen in front of her. “From what I know of your universe, this could either be very good, or very bad,” she concluded.
“Hopefully, very good,” Kuumaarke said. “I’ll contact the Alliance. Perhaps we can intercept it.”
L’Miren looked at the hologram of the kida shard, dissecting the information she had just received. As Kuumaarke turned towards the display to collect her data module, the matriarch’s disposition changed, from guarded to visibly concerned.
“Admiral, before you leave,” L’Miren exclaimed, prompting the Lukari admiral to turn back towards her, “may I ask… if you would be the one to return the kida shard, should it be successfully intercepted?”
Although Kuumaarke had seen L’Miren through a viewscreen on a number of occasions, this was the first time she felt she saw her for what she really was. The matriarch’s anxiety was tangible, as was her paranoia and genuine desire to protect her people from further incursions. Any similarities between L’Miren and Thaseen-Fei seemed to wash away in that moment. Kuumaarke approached the Iconian, and spoke softly.
“If I am not the one who delivers the shard, then I will personally make sure someone we trust does,” she promised.
L’Miren let out an audible sigh of relief.
“I admit that I am… concerned the Aetherians managed to bypass our defenses. I cannot make sense of their familiarity with all of our encryptions, security protocols, and technology.”
“I understand. I will contact some allies of mine and request that back-up be posted on our side of the Dyson Sphere. I have recently done the same for the Lukari homeworld,” asserted Kuumaarke.
“Thank you, Admiral.”
As Kuumaarke pocketed her tricorder and prepared to depart, a thought came to her and she paused.
“Matriarch… What exactly has the Khitomer Alliance told you about the Aetherians?”
L’Miren seemed confused.
“Admiral Quinn of Starfleet informed the bastion it should decline entry to any and all Aetherian vessels, alerting us to their ill intent and warning us of sabotage. We have been too occupied with developing countermeasures against recent attacks on our research facilities to meet with the Alliance for any further reports.”
“I see…” Kuumaarke hesitated before continuing her line of questioning. “Matriarch L’Miren, what do you know of the Aetherian biological composition?”
“Biological composition? Why do you ask?”
Kuumaarke exhaled, and chose her next words carefully.
“How long do you have?”
. . .
The initial embarrassment that had filled the air outside the Kida Reliquary returned, as the two officers posted by the entrance kept glancing at each other without knowing what to say. After a moment of prolonged silence, B’Tren turned to face Vaaruunte again.
“Ensign?”
“Yes?” she responded immediately, still looking straight ahead.
“What was the Admiral saying to herself earlier, when we first approached her?” B’Tren inquired with a smile, “I am curious.”
Vaaruunte had every intention of deflecting, determined to shut down any and all probing into matters private to the Reskava’s personnel. One look at B’Tren, however, was enough for her to fold entirely. She was unable to compete with whatever Iconian charm was at play.
Defenses lowered, Vaaruunte walked over to stand in front of the marble pillar B’Tren was leaning against. The two looked at each other with quiet intensity.
“Alright. Between us?” Vaaruunte crossed her arms, squinting at her opponent.
“Between us,” B’Tren returned, with a playful smile.
“It’s… hard to translate. The Admiral was lamenting her blind trust in the Aetherians.”
The Iconian officer’s smile dropped, as she pondered the statement for a moment.
“She was angry?”
“No… She was disappointed.”
“I think we all are,” B’Tren sighed. “Does she blame herself for recent events?”
“Somewhat. But I am mostly concerned she is concealing the extent of her frustration. She always strives to maintain a positive outlook on most situations. Even when everything seems to be falling apart, she somehow always manages to make sure others feel like everything will be alright. But if she hides how she feels, who will make sure she feels alright?”
B’Tren observed Vaaruunte as she spoke. The comms officer had begun pacing back and forth, occasionally looking into the reliquary gateway, trying to catch a glimpse of her superior despite knowing she would not be able to. B’Tren smiled again, still leaning against the pillar with her arms crossed. She looked down at the ground, and then up at Vaaruunte.
“I think that is you.”
“Me?” Vaaruunte came to a halt and gazed at B’Tren in confusion.
“I think you are the one making sure she feels alright. In fact, it seems you know how she feels, without her having to tell you. Clearly, you are watching over her.” B’Tren pointed at the gateway and chuckled, pushing herself off the pillar. She approached Vaaruunte with certainty. “Perhaps the real question, Ensign, is who is watching over you?”
“I….”
The circle of light behind them rippled, interrupting their conversation.
Kuumaarke and L’Miren were already exchanging their goodbyes as they stepped through the gateway together. Amidst well wishes and handshakes, B’Tren moved closer to Vaaruunte, never breaking eye contact.
“Everything will be alright,” she assured.
Vaaruunte was too stunned to speak, and could only muster a nervous smile.
“Ensign?” The admiral had begun walking towards the exit.
“Yes, Admiral,” Vaaruunte blurted out, chasing after her superior.
As the two Lukari representatives prepared to exit the facility, Vaaruunte turned and looked back, but L’Miren and B’Tren were already gone.
. . .
On the other side of the gateway, Vaaruunte and Kuumaarke walked side by side, heading towards the Reskava’s docking point. Kuumaarke’s eyes were fixated on the loamy ground beneath her as she took out her tricorder.
“Admiral?” Vaaruunte stopped walking, prompting her superior to do the same.
“Ensign?” Kuumaarke responded, looking up at her comms officer.
“Hand on heart, everything will be alright.” Vaaruunte placed a hand on her own heart.
Kuumaarke lowered her tricorder, and smiled. Copying her ensign’s movements, she raised a hand and placed it on her chest – a common Lukari tradition, practiced in trying times.
“You’re right, Vaaruunte. Everything will be alright,” she affirmed. “Hand on heart.”
