In response to some release bugs found in the Aetherian Concordium Lockbox, all players will be able to claim a special compensation package from the Zen Store starting today. This will be available only for a limited time and may only be claimed once per account. It contains 10x Master Keys as well as account-bound versions of each of the following:
1x Reward Pack containing "All Aspects Accounted For" Space Trait Unlock Token
Aetherian Concordium Vanity Shield
The previously missing items have been added to the Lockbox. Additionally, we are going to unbind all character bound Aetherian Kit Frames with this patch.
GeneralResolved a potential progression blocker in the episode during the hangar sequence with Dax, which could occur if all enemies were defeated instantly upon exiting the cutscene.Added a console in the corridor preceding the Core Room to prevent progression stall. This console only becomes visible and interactable once progress is made inside the Core Room.Elite Hazard Team Personal Shield: Added the missing modifier for the Epic quality tier.NX Grappler: Removed the Starfleet Allegiance requirement from the non-dynamic NX Grappler, allowing it to be equipped on all ships. Additionally, you can no longer equip both versions of the item simultaneously.Fixed a bug that was causing the Scimitar's Battle Cloak to not trigger certain effects on expiration, if the ship had the "Singularity Distributor Unit" console equipped.Fixed a typo in the description of the Orb of Possibilities.Fixed a bug that was preventing the item "Promotional Master Key" (included in many Store Bundles) from automatically opening to grant one Master Key.If you have copies of this item in your inventory, use the Right-Click context menu and choose "Use" to force them to become usable Master Keys. The pet construct summoned from the kit module “Gleaming the Cube” is no longer able to use the ability “Claim Construct”.Empersa Alliance MW Juggernaut:Added the missing Alliance Cloaking Device.Updated the Reward Pack description to accurately reflect the Starship Trait's duration (60 Seconds).Resolved a visual issue that prevented several decals from appearing on the ship's lower hull.“Belly of the Beast" TFO: Adjusted console collision bounds to ensure characters of smaller statures can reliably interact with them.Interacting with the consoles to ask for aid from other players will now count toward the interaction requirements for determining potential AFK Penalties. (It previously did not.)Slightly reduced the reach of the Apex’s Backhand attack, which he used to attack players during his roaming phases.“Devil’s Heart” TFO:Requirements to avoid AFK Penalty in this TFO have been made slightly stricter. -

Anniversary XVI EventParticipate in our anniversary event on PC and earn the new Empersa Miracle Worker Alliance Juggernaut!
By Fero February 13, 2026, 10:00 AM
As Star Trek Online approaches its 16th anniversary, boldly expanding the Star Trek universe, we are thrilled to once again roll out the party patrol for our Anniversary Celebration, starting on February 17th and continuing until March 18th on PC!
Keep reading to learn what activities and prizes await those who join us to celebrate “Anniversary XVI.”
"We already lost our Homeworld once. It will not happen again," the Chief Engineer of the Alliance's newest Shipyard read aloud. The Dominion's contributions to the starship design document she had received left no room for misunderstandings; their proposal was experimental, and dangerous. And yet, it was also an honest reflection of the Alliance's current state of mind. Their factions had been betrayed and pushed into a corner.
Sat at their desk, the engineer exhaled tensely. Even in a simulated environment, the Dominion's proposed design led to rapidly increasing numbers, flashes of red warning markers, and risky percentiles. It was obvious -- this creation was the Alliance's response to the Aetherian threat, and it would have no trouble getting approved by the leaders of the Khitomer Alliance in times of war. A weapon meant to stop any invasion on its track, no matter the cost.
This starship features a Commander Tactical/Miracle Worker specialist seat and a Lieutenant Commander Engineering/Temporal Operative specialist seat.
This ship comes equipped with a Console - Universal - Ionized Antiproton Field Projector. Activating this console will create an Ionized Antiproton Field around its owner dealing scaling damage to Foes within its area, with the damage increasing the longer it remains active up to maximum output. At the same time, its owner will suffer scaling Antiproton self-damage which will also increase the longer it remains active up to maximum output. Self-damage has 100% Shield Penetration and can only be half-resisted. Damage and Self-Damage is based on the Ship's Max Hull Capacity.
It will deactivate automatically while under 25% Max Hull.
Allies flying through the Antiproton Field will create a weaker replica of it dealing Minimum Antiproton Damage. This Buff will linger for 10 seconds and will refresh with new applications.
This console also provides a passive bonus to you and your allies in a 5km radius of +5% Healing Critical Chance, +25% Heal Critical Severity, and Starship Hull Restoration (Scales with level).
Upon reaching level 5 in this starship's mastery, you will unlock the Hyper-Generative Repair Matrix starship trait. While you are under 100% Current Hull, using a Hull Heal ability will give you a stacking buff of 1% to your current Max Hull Capacity for 60 seconds. New Stacks will refresh the duration. Max 25 stacks.

Console - Universal – Ionized Antiproton Field Projector
Activating this console will create an Ionized Antiproton Field around its owner dealing scaling damage to up to 10 Foes within a 5 km radius dealing scaling Antiproton Damage per second. Damage starts at 1% of your Max Hull Capacity and increases by +1% Max Hull Capacity every second it is active up to 5%. The Owner suffers scaling Antiproton self-damage starting at 0.5% Max Hull Capacity increasing by +0.5% every second up to 10%. Self-Damage bypasses shields and can only be half-resisted. This console will automatically deactivate when going under 25%
Allies flying through the Antiproton Field will create a weaker replica of it dealing 1% of your Max Hull Capacity. This Buff will linger for 10 seconds and will refresh with new applications.

Empersa Array - Antiproton Overcharge Lance
Activating the Empersa Array will generate an Antiproton discharge on the targeted foe, at the cost of overcharging our main core. Half of your current Hull will be dealt as Antiproton Self-Damage (100% Shield Penetration/Half-Res) and will be scaled as Antiproton Damage to the targeted Foe.
Designer’s Notes: For example, if your max Hull Capacity is 10,000 (100%), when you activate the Empersa Array you will suffer 5,000 (50% Current Hull) Antiproton self-damage before resistance. This magnitude will be one of the main variables in the outgoing damage calculation. If you are at 5,000/10,000 Current Hull, you will suffer 2,500 (50% of your Current Hull) Antiproton self-damage before resistance.
Hyper-Generative Repair Matrix (Starship Trait)
While you are under 100% Current Hull, using a Hull Heal ability will give you a stacking buff of 1% your current Max Hull Capacity for 60 seconds. New Stacks will refresh the duration. Max 25 stacks.

Q is up to his annual shenanigans. He will once again be rewarding captains for stabilizing Omega Particles found in various social zones in Star Trek Online. Talk to Q to get the mission “Omega Stabilization (Daily)” and you will be given multiple zones to visit where you must stabilize an Omega Particle by playing a minigame. The chosen zones will change periodically, inviting players to explore the vast expanses of space in order to complete this challenge.
The minigame itself is simple - Omega molecules will fall in from the left in one of four channels. Captains will move the capture device into the correct channel as the molecule hits the right-hand line. The more molecules you capture, the more Omega molecules you’ll safely dissipate, and the more points you will score.
Q doesn’t care how many points you score, just that you complete the minigame in order to receive credit for his Daily Mission. Doing so will grant you Daily Progress if you have not already earned it for the day, as well as the other standard rewards associated with this Daily Mission.
The score received from the minigame does influence your rewards, however! The more points you score, the better chance you have at scoring better quality Omega particle remnants which can be used with the R&D system to craft special Omega Particle Tech Upgrades.
Omega Traces come in the three different colors of the Omega nodes themselves. Using the R&D system you can combine 1 of each Trace into an Omega Sliver. You can then combine three Omega Slivers into an Omega Shard, and three Omega Shards into an Omega Fragment. Three Omega Fragments can then be combined into an Omega Tech Upgrade which costs no dilithium to apply, and supplies a massive dose of Technology and Research Points to whatever item it is applied to.
Furthermore, two additional crafting options are available: Two Omega Fragments can be combined with varying amounts of Refined Dilithium to produce [Mark] and [Rarity] variations of the Omega Upgrade. These new variants focus entirely on improving item Mark or Rarity, respectively, making them ideal for players seeking specific avenues of upgrading their equipment.
Completing the minigame will always score you a single Omega Trace at the very least. The better you score, the greater your chance to win Omega Slivers, Shards, or even Fragments. Beginning with this year’s update, all Omega materials will be changed to Bind-to-Account-on-Pickup, rather than being tradeable with other players. However, refinement techniques have improved since the previous event, so rewards from the minigame will be a bit better, especially for those who score fewer points.
It wouldn’t be the anniversary without a brand-new Party Popper to earn. The “Anniversary XVI” version of our annual toy-device adds festive cheer to your vicinity by means of visuals themed after the Aetherian Concordium.
We’ll see you at the party! -

Mudd’s Masters of TacticsCaptains on PC can get their hands on a new Mudd Bundle filled with tactical ships!
By Counselor Sunna February 03, 2026, 07:00 AM
"Hello, my dear friends!
Welcome back to my humble little shop. I, Harcourt Fenton Mudd, must say that, well, I have studied many tactitians works over the years. How else would I be able to reach the amazing trades that allow me to offer you such attractive deals? Now, of course, I'm not the only one, and I'm glad you've come here, far outside the reaches of the Khitomer Alliance, because I have something to show you! This way, dear friends, I have put together the perfect for any tactitian to help conquer - eh - free and protect the universe! Some of these might have gotten me in trouble with people I don't even know yet but.. No matter! I'm calling it, "Mudd's Masters of Tactics Choice Pack". Has a nice ring to it, no?"
On PC, Mudd is presenting a new Choice Pack on February 3rd and this one is all about Tactics! Purchase Mudd’s Masters of Tactics Choice Pack for 29500 Zen and choose any three of the options below! But that's not all - this pack will be 50% off from 02/03 after maintenance until 02/10 @ 12pm PT. Choose from the following:
Mirror Constitution Warship [T6]
Terran Acheron Dreadnought Carrier [T6]
Emerald Chain Intel Juggernaut [T6]
50x Master Keys[300x Pack] Lobi Crystals10x Ultimate Tech Upgrades2 x T6 Ship Coupons[9x Pack] Experimental Ship Upgrade TokensCross Faction Flying Unlock
We're adding a special version of the pack! The Masters of Tactics MEGA Bundle is a one stop purchase to obtain all eight items in the pack at once! The pack contains all items, no choices needed. It will also launch on 02/03, for 50000 ZEN Zen, but will be 50% off until 02/10 at 12pm PT. Here's how it works:
The Masters of Tactics MEGA Bundle will appear in Mudd's Market at the same time as the Masters of Tactics Choice Pack. This is a once per account purchase. When purchased, it will disappear from the store. If you'd like, you can still purchase the Masters of Tactics Choice Pack for more of the non-ship items. Purchasing the Masters of Tactics MEGA Bundle will drop an item in your inventory, that you can unpack to receive the items.
If you wish to buy both the Masters of Tactics MEGA Bundle and the Masters of Tactics Choice Pack, you must purchase the MEGA bundle first. Any purchase of the Choice Pack will cause the MEGA Bundle to disappear from the store.
Never seen one of these packs before? Seen them all but still unsure how they work? Here's an FAQ just for you:
Each time I buy this pack, I get to choose any three items?
Yes! Even if you only purchase it once, the Masters of Tactics Choice Pack allows you to choose any three of the above ships, upgrades and more. You can choose multiples of the same item, as long as it’s not a ship.
Are the ships bound to the character that buys them?
Nope! The ships are account unlocks, like everything in the Zen Store. Once you purchase the bundle and choose any of the ships, you unlock that ship for all your characters, immediately, and all future characters.
Can I claim a second ship of the same type?
Also no. Because the ships are unlocked for your entire account, you only need to choose each ship once. Therefore, should you purchase a bundle and choose the Dreadnought and two non-ship items, if you purchase a second bundle, you won’t be able to choose the Dreadnought again.
But I can choose the non-ship items again?
You sure can. You can choose anything that's not a ship up to three times each, per purchase of the bundle.
Even within the same purchase?
That’s right. If you only want Ultimate Tech Upgrades, you can purchase this bundle once, choose the Upgrades three times, and get 30 Upgrades. It’s up to you!
Do I have to purchase more than one bundle to get all the items?
Yes, unless you buy the MEGA Bundle.
Do I have to purchase more than one bundle?
No! If you just want three of the ships, or any other combination, just purchase it once, claim the three items you want, and never think of it again.
Do I have to purchase this bundle?
That’s really up to you, friend.
How does Mudd keep getting away with selling these ridiculously illegal items?
P.L.O.T. Armor.
By the way, this bundle is planned to launch on Xbox and PlayStation on 24th of February

To The STO Community When I left Cryptic Studios in 2016, I thought it was to seek new challenges and adventures – to prove that I could do more than just Cryptic. I had been there for sixteen years; I was one of its founders. I was the Lead Designer on City of Heroes/Villains, the Chief Creative Officer for Champions Online, the COO for Star Trek Online and ultimately the CEO when Neverwinter launched. Cryptic Studios was my very first job in the video game industry – and to be frank, when I first started, I really had zero clue of things outside my little corner. But most of all, after sixteen years at Cryptic, I’d become stale. I’d pretty much given what I could at that point, and I needed to go to school elsewhere to figure things out. I joined Daybreak Games to oversee DC Universe Online, and a little later Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online, though to be fair to everyone, I think I learned more from them than vice versa! I even had a chance to work alongside the venerable devs on Everquest I and II – and boy, did they have stories! But not just that, everyone at Daybreak had brand new perspectives about how to make and operate games. I saw new game mechanics and types of content that I’d never seen before. I was humbled by how much was out there. Cryptic Studios has been through just as many changes as I have. But the teams have held strong through the past few years and continued to put out great products. It’s amazing to see the games I helped develop, Champions Online, Star Trek Online and Neverwinter still thriving several years later. The teams are only one part of the equation: what’s made those games last is you – the player. Our communities always made the Cryptic games special. Why am I excited to return to Cryptic? First, the team is still terrific. Many faces have changed, but the commitment to the players has remained steadfast. Second, I love these games. There were very few Cryptic employees who played any of our games more than me. Third, Arc Games has promised full support to make Champions Online, Star Trek Online and Neverwinter the best they can be. I believe in the team, the games and their players. Of course, there might be more to come…but that’s a story for another day! I cannot promise results, but I can promise effort. I’m going to do everything I can to live up to the team’s and your expectations. I want to make sure that together we make our games flourish. If you’re a current player, THANK YOU! And if you’ve once played but are reading and simply curious, COME BACK! I’ll be actively getting feedback from all our various channels and even more importantly, I’ll be holding a LIVE Q&A session regularly. Anyone can get in and ask questions – the harder, the better (and yes, I regret nerfing Invuln Tanks – inside joke there). I’m planning on doing it quarterly, but that might change depending on demand. Thank you for reading and I’m excited to be back at Cryptic! Looking forward to what this year will bring and beyond. ~ Jack Emmert, CEO of Cryptic Studios

Kings & Queens: Victory is StrifeAs she balances political suspicion, military setbacks, and diplomatic tensions, Loriss 4 remains ever-committed to restoring the Dominion to its former glory – this time
By Counselor Sunna January 21, 2026, 08:09 AM“The Cooperative’s report places the prisoner in a facility located inside the Jenolan Dyson Sphere. It–”
“Unlikely,” Loriss interrupted, a single word of hers enough to stop any Vanguard soldier in their tracks.
She looked up from the PADD that was underlighting her inscrutable features. Before the imposing Vorta leader stood a clear-eyed Jem’Hadar, hands clasped ceremoniously around a kar’takin. The two had been standing at the threshold of an outpost for several minutes now, overseeing a number of civil operations through an open metal door.
“Send out an encrypted transmission to the Ferengi,” she ordered. “Perhaps we can pay them to acquire a copy of their report. I’d like to... compare notes.”
Loriss shifted her gaze away from her subordinate to peer up at a hazy horizon instead. The air here was thick and warm – difficult for the solids, she thought to herself. Beneath this horizon was only a rocky and barren ground that offered no promise of fertility, despite the sacred nature of this world. For all its power, it seemed that not even the Great Link could coax life from soil like this. Fortunately, this made no difference to Loriss, or the Founders, who cared only for the permanence of the Link itself.
“Do you suspect foul play, Vorta Loriss?” The Jem’Hadar soldier derailed her line of thinking, desperate for any sliver of information that might imbue him with a sense of renewed purpose.
“Inconclusive, Fifth.” Loriss narrowed her eyes, focusing on the moonless amber sky. “What do you believe? You rarely disappoint me. Speak plainly, what reason could the Cooperative have to lie to the Dominion?”
“Perhaps they have been compromised… Or perhaps our absence at the latest battle against the Aetherians has made them distrust us,” he hypothesized.
Loriss crossed her arms instinctively, considering her officer’s words. There was an undertone of eagerness in his voice – the Jem’Hadar, bred for combat, were evidently struggling with the peaceful approach that had been mandated by the benevolent Founder Odo. After all, they were destined for greatness, chosen by higher powers to serve on the frontlines.
“Perhaps,” she acknowledged. “Even so, it seems foolish to keep the Aetherian leader’s location concealed from us. It is true that our ranks have suffered substantially as of late, but we are nothing if not valuable allies in the face of formidable opponents.”
Besides, the Dominion would rise again, Loriss thought. And this time, its path to ascension would be different. For true honor and glory lied not in strength and conquest alone, but in devotion too. And who was more devoted than her?
And yet in spite of all her certainty and commitment, the Vorta’s disposition darkened as she looked out at a sea of damaged outposts peppered across a wasteland. Much had been lost to the Aetherians. It could not be denied.
“Perhaps this is the price we pay for failing to attend the MIDAS Conference... Our absence in recent galactic affairs has left us ill-prepared for any Aetherian onslaughts, and behind the curve sociopolitically.”
The Jem’Hadar tightened his grip around the kar’takin and steeled himself.
“About that, Captain.”
Loriss' eyes darted back to meet those of her Fifth.
“What is it?” she interrogated.
“The Aetherian sabotage your ship was subjected to is proving… hard to quell or even contain.”
All of a sudden, the temperature seemed to drop as a result of the Jem’Hadar’s admission, and with it, Loriss' sphinx-like mask. Replacing it instead was the quiet, contagious indignation currently shared by so many Alliance leaders. Almost every faction head in the galaxy now had a bone to pick with the Aetherians, and she was no different.
“The Aetherians seek to humiliate those who serve the Founders. Don’t tarry, see to it that it gets fixed. Send out a message to the Cooperative, demand that they expedite the transmission of their diagnostic subroutines if you must. Time is a factor here, Fifth. We cannot miss another assembly,” she affirmed resolutely. “We are falling behind.”
“Certainly,” said the Jem’Hadar, with a curt, deferential nod, before leaving through the door.
As Loriss scanned the outposts that bordered the edge of the Great Link, her mind could not help but race with flashing images of distorted communications systems, sabotaged navigational controls, and Aetherian symbology. Volleys of ash and shrill screams exchanged amidst unexpected friendly fire filled her thoughts – each memory aboard her provisionally decommissioned ship, sharp and unwelcome.
“Loriss, you’re needed.”
A Changeling attendant had appeared before her and was motioning towards a nearby disturbance. Raising an arm to block out the broiling sun, Loriss squinted in an attempt to pinpoint the origin of the conflict, as well as the nature of it. In recent times, some Founders had suggested displacing the Great Link once more, to another world. Such proposals had always been ill-received, but in the end, it was all talk of course. Nothing would come of it.
“What is it?” she asked the attendant.
“More demands, from the Hur’q…” they confessed.
Loriss straightened her posture and raised her chin almost imperceptibly, resigned to her new role as makeshift reparations counselor. She reminded herself that this selfless task, too, would contribute towards the prosperity of her gods.
“Well, we are in no position to decline them an audience,” she conceded. “Lead the way.”. . .
Moments later…The Great Link commanded reverence without ever asking for it, its edge a mote of possibility rather than a physical boundary. What appeared to be only a placid pool from afar revealed a restless intelligence upon closer inspection; light shimmering across a cool surface, gentle undulations, humanoid forms rising and dipping cyclically.
One such form emerging from the lake was locked in heated debate with a Hur’q. This form shifted back and forth, from gelatinous, to humanoid, to insectoid, until it finally stabilized its physiology; chitinous plates, iridescent wings, and clicking mandibles – another Hur’q, unmistakably.
“We believe that by changing our form to match theirs, we might communicate more efficiently with them,” the Changeling attendant whispered to Loriss. “As we replicate their phonation structures – that is to say, their mandibular stridulations, tracheal tubes, and resonance sacs – we can approximate their vibrational speech patterns with near-native precision.”
Loriss raised an eyebrow, observing the tense exchange.
“Clever,” she admitted. “So, what is it that they seek? Simply put, this one is noticeably dissatisfied. That much is apparent, even without a universal translator.”
“Well,” the attendant sighed. “There seems to be a disagreement in regards to allocation of resources. Our Jem’Hadar Vanguard wishes to use the alloys harvested from the system’s asteroids to construct additional Seeker Bombs. Reserves are running low, and a rogue Hur’q swarm has been spotted in Sector D3, at the crash site of a Vedcrid Hive. The pacified Hur’q, however, claim they need the material for the hull plating of their ships… All of it.”
The Vorta leader locked eyes with the Hur’q, as she thought of all the pejorative terms that had once been used to describe these formerly docile beings – nerks, gurks, or even maa’nen in Dominionese. It was, in many ways, pitiful.
To Loriss, devotion was synonymous with a commitment to perfect ideals, which could not include the repeated expunging of supposed lesser species, nor the dismissing of their needs. A worthy empire, she concluded, could therefore not sustainably be built on the backs of others. Victory had to be earned through sacrifice. Even Dukan’Rex knew that.
“Tell them they can have the alloys, as a gesture of good faith,” she declared.
“Loriss, is this truly a wise decision?” questioned the attendant.
“Founder Odo’s orders are clear,” she recited. “If we are to make amends and rebuild, then we must lead with generosity and trust.”. . .
The next day…Loriss looked down at her PADD, as she flipped through another one of the Cooperative’s reports. The file, sent over the day prior, was detailed. It contained countermeasures against Aetherian fusion – disruptors calibrated to halt genetic manipulation, bio‑neurological dampening fields to mitigate the persuasiveness of Aetherian axioms, and a joint Alliance protocol for rapid containment of affected subjects, should such an unfortunate situation arise.
As she sifted through the material, she paused on a schematic illustrating the difference between Aetherian biogenetic fusion, and Borg biomechanical fusion. Just then, the door to the military outpost she had been residing in for the past few days chimed open.
“Captain,” exclaimed her Fifth, walking briskly into the room. “I have received a reply from the Ferengi.”
“Speak,” she demanded, deactivating the PADD and placing it on a nearby console table.
“Their report is the same as ours,” continued the Jem’Hadar. “What’s more, their Nagus claims to have already conferred with the Romulans.”
“And?”
“Everything lines up.”
“I see…” she murmured, looking down at the ground.
“However…” interjected her Fifth. “It appears the Klingons and the Lukari received a different report.”
Loriss' gaze shot back up, eyes sparkling with curiosity.
“The location?”
“Starbase 621.”
“Starfleet is known to host important tribunals there. Still, it feels… unusual,” she responded. “Was that all?”
“No. I am equally as honored to inform you that the data provided by the Cooperative has accelerated our progress on your ship. It shall be purged of Aetherian sabotage within the hour.”
“As always, you never cease to impress, Fifth. We will prevail, I have faith,” she reassured the Jem’Hadar. “This task is of utmost importance, however, and you’d do well to remember that. We cannot let this corruption spread. My Fourth almost killed his entire squadron last week. He had to be eliminated, of course – a shame. He was very diligent.”
“It is understandable, Vorta Loriss,” replied the Jem’Hadar, loyal to a fault.
“Had we received Director Hugh’s report earlier, then we might have been able to spare him. We are nothing if not magnanimous… Well, we cannot dwell on our inefficiencies.”
“You are right, as always.”
“And you, faithful, are dismissed,” she smiled.
Raising a hand to salute her, the Jem’Hadar locked eyes with his superior one last time before exiting the outpost.

Command the Orion InterceptorThe Orion Interceptor, first seen in Star Trek: Enterprise, joins the Infinity Lockbox on PC!
By Fero January 12, 2026, 09:00 AM
The ongoing run of the Infinity Lockbox on PC is being updated with the addition of an all-new Starship! Beginning January 13 at 8am PT, players will have the chance to command their very own Orion Interceptor [T6], first seen in Star Trek: Enterprise!
Orions like to appear out of nowhere, attacking from an advantageous position, and leaving as fast and unexpectedly as they arrived. Dealing in the slave trade and in procuring other diverse items and assets, their tactics and weaponry focus on disabling their targets means of resistance, rather than destroying them altogether, least they lose their precious cargo along with it. Early Starfleet encounters compared them to the pirates from the old Golden Age of Sail that used to hunt for prey in the oceans of Earth. Although this comparison is overly simplistic, it's a good initial approach for junior crewmembers to understand what to expect when dealing with an Orion Interceptor.
This starship features a Commander Tactical/Pilot specialist seat and a Lieutenant Commander Universal/Temporal Operative specialist seat.
This ship is equipped with a Console - Universal - Energy Disruption Blast Emitter. When activated, this console shoots a blast of Disruptor Energy in an arc damaging Foes in the area. Additionally, those affected will have their Impulse Engine and Shields Subsystems disabled for a short duration. Dreadnought-rank targets will only have their Impulse Engine Subsystems disabled.
In preparation for imminent Boarding Maneuvers, this Console readies for an opening volley at interception by additionally providing +10% Bonus Kinetic Damage when going from full throttle and over 90% Max Flying Speed, to throttle 0, for 10 Seconds. -1% Bonus Kinetic Damage each second. New applications refresh the duration.
This starship also comes with an Experimental Weapon slot, equipped with the Orion Paixhans Cannon. This weapon has an increased chance to critically hit their targets if they are suffering from any subsystem failure. This chance stacks for each individual subsystem offline.
Additionally, ships benefiting from Raider Flanking or Enhanced Raider Flanking will apply a stacking Physical and Kinetic Damage Resistance debuff to their targets when firing from their rear arc.
Upon reaching level 5 in this starship's mastery, you will unlock the Shock Attack Barrage starship trait. While under the benefits of Cannon Rapid Fire or Cannon Scatter Volley, your Cannons and Turrets will deal extra Disruptor damage per weapon activation cycle to targets within 5 km within a 45° Arc.

This console has been designed to prepare the stage for an incoming Orion attack. Its main purpose is to negate the target's ability to escape while taking down their main defensive systems, leaving them exposed to either boarding actions or kidnapping via transporter. While damage output is not its goal, Orion captains will use the opportunities created by its effect to attack their mark's weak spots. Its efficacy drops against targets with more redundant failsafe systems such as those found in Dreadnought rank vessels and above.

Experimental Weapon - Paixhans Disruptor Cannon
This Orion Experimental Weapon has been code named the Orion Paixhans Cannon, after the old Naval Era gun which was the first to be able to reliably fire explosive shells, marking the end of wooden ships.
This gun has an increased chance to critically hit their targets if they are suffering from any subsystem failure. This chance stacks for each individual subsystem offline.
Additionally, ships benefiting from Raider Flanking or Enhanced Raider Flanking will apply a stacking Physical and Kinetic Damage Resistance debuff to their targets when firing from their rear arc.

Screw your courage to its sticking place, and dive headlong into these classic tests of mettle – dare to face the No Win Scenarios.
This Event will include multiple TFOs that will allow players to choose their preferred test each day, while earning Daily Progress toward a new grand prize reward. Keep reading for details on these items, how you can participate in the Event, and what additional prizes may be earned.
No Win Scenarios – Activity Details
Two existing activities will be participating in this Event:
Arena of Sompek – Ground TFO
In the interest of strengthening the Alliance against its enemies, and providing entertainment, the Klingons have agreed to allow other members to participate in the legendary qaD HoS event. You've been invited to Qo'noS to participate as representatives of the Alliance. It will be good practice for the battles ahead, and should be good for morale.
Kobayashi Maru – Space TFO
The legendary Kobayashi Maru simulation has returned. Test your skills against rising odds! This version of the simulation lasts until you complete round 6.
Players will be able to earn their Daily Progress once every 20 hours by completing the TFO of their choosing. Either of the above TFOs may be played as much as you like each day, so pick and choose how you prefer to gain Progress each day, and mix it up as much (or as little) as you like!
No Win Scenarios – Event Rewards
Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize of the No Win Scenarios Event. This reward includes all of the following:

This device is capable of summoning the SS Antares to your position across the vast distances of space.
Call the SS Antares to your location, to aid in combat by diverting enemy fire from yourself and your allies and constantly enhancing allies around it. While present, the Antares will apply powerful boons to all allies within range. If the SS Antares gets destroyed, or upon departure, it provides a one-time burst of Cooldown Reduction to Universal Consoles to allies within range.
Bonus Rewards
After claiming the Grand Prize, you will unlock the option of earning additional Dilithium Ore each day that you continue participating in the content associated with No Win Scenarios. Each day you earn the Daily Progress you will be automatically granted a bundle of Dilithium Ore.
This bonus reward will begin at 8,000 Dilithium Ore for the first day’s completion, then scales up with each subsequent bonus completion that you achieve. The more you play, the more you continue to earn!
Zen Buyout Option
For players interested in instantly completing the No Win Scenarios Event – whether that is due to worries over finding the play time to complete it, or simply wanting to move immediately into earning Bonus Rewards – we will be offering a method for buying out.
Within the Event UI, an option will be presented that allows you to purchase the remaining progress that you need, for a scaling amount of Zen. The base price for this service will be 2,500 Zen, but every single Daily Progress that you earn will reduce that price on a percentage basis. Thus, if you have already earned 7 Daily Progress (half of the 14 required), this price will be reduced for you down to 1,250 Zen. The more you play, the cheaper the Buyout Option becomes, dynamically!
Event Campaign VIII
This Featured Event will be the first of a series of upcoming Events that will participate in the eighth installment of our multi-event system known as an Event Campaign. Throughout the year, you’ll have the chance to earn progress in six events to earn the Grand Prize: A Tier 6 Infinity Promotional Ship of your choice, Two Free T6 Zen Store Coupons, AND 1500 Lobi!
Players may earn 50 Event Campaign Progress for each day they participate in an eligible event.Buying out an eligible event will include up to 700 Event Campaign Progress. Each event’s buyout only grants as much Event Campaign Progress as is relative to the amount paid, after pro-rated discounts are applied. This means that paying half price, (because you participated in 7 out of 14 of the required days so far) will grant you 350 Event Campaign Progress. Essentially, you get what you pay for.Legacy Progress
As with previous Events, we will continue offering the opportunity for players to utilize their old Event tokens to apply toward this Event. To access this functionality, select the “Legacy Progress” button on the Event UI. This button will only be visible to players that have tokens available to trade in.

The Gamma Quadrant Needs You!Gamma Recruitment is returning on PC! Make a new Jem'Hadar character for a limited time to unlock great rewards for your entire account!
By Fero January 10, 2026, 08:00 AM
From January 13th at 8am PT to February 3rd at 12pm PT on PC, new Dominion captains will be known as Gamma Recruits, and they will be bred with the knowledge and capability needed to defeat this threat, save the Dominion, and ensure its future dominance over the Gamma Quadrant.
As with previous recruitment events, the Gamma Recruitment Event represents an unprecedented opportunity for getting a leg-up on progression. Not only do Gamma Recruits themselves benefit from additional rewarding tasks while the event is active, but they will also be capable of earning additional account-wide rewards for all characters on the Gamma Recruit’s account.
While Jem’Hadar characters already begin their career at Level 60, Gamma Recruits are offered further opportunity to rapidly close the gap that exists between new characters and characters that have been in Star Trek Online for years. Recruitment events like this one are very new-player friendly, helping them get up to speed quickly, making it the perfect time to join the community of Star Trek Online.
Gamma Recruits will find out quickly that they have been selected to participate in a series of special operations. These will help to prepare for combating the Hur’q threat, and operating alongside new allies from the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Their handlers within the Dominion will issue a special Transponder device, allowing a new UI element to be accessed which will display these additional objectives.
Completing these goals will see the Gamma Recruit rewarded with Reputation Marks, Energy Credits, Dilithium, Expertise, and other rewards specifically designed to offer additional aid to Jem’Hadar characters starting the game at high level. Similar rewards will also be earned that may be used by all characters on the same account.
A few specific unique rewards will also be available only via the Gamma Recruit system. Here are just a few examples of the tasks that will be set before Gamma Recruits, and what they may earn upon completion:
Reach Level 4 in any six Duty Officer Commendation Categories:Epic Jem’Hadar Warfare Specialist Duty Officer
Reach Level 10 in any three Admiralty Campaigns:
+1 Admiralty Assignment Slot
Admiralty Ship: Odo’s Flagship
Spend a total of 90 Specialization Points:
Improved Secondary Specialization Traits
Improved Demolition Teams
Improved ArrestImproved Unconventional Tactics
As you can see, many of the same things that players do while playing and levelling their characters will earn Gamma Recruits improved rewards!
Gamma Recruits can only be created during the Gamma Recruitment event. These recruits can be recognized by the Gamma Symbol (γ) next to their names. All Gamma Recruits will have an inherent bonus trait during the Gamma Recruit Event of generating Salvage upon defeating enemies, a bonus which extends to your entire group. This trait will only be available during this event and will be gone once the Gamma Recruitment event ends, so gather your Salvage while you can, and use it to Re-Engineer you equipment to your exact standards!
There’s far too many bonuses and rewards available to list them all here, so get ready to make your Gamma Recruit!
By the way: Between January 13th at 8am PT and January 17th at 12pm PT, we're also helping you save on the tools you need for your new Dominion Captains as anything Jem'Hadar related in the Zen Store will be 25% off. It's the best time to start or upgrade a Jem'Hadar character! -
