Switch has 146m sales to date. Leaks and coverage of leaks have nothing on reaching the general consumer base.
Nintendo even advertised the trailer on those 146m Switch units. We can’t know how many more views that added.
This has been a massive success and if you get away from the niche hardcore areas of gaming, the general consumer sentiment seems to be excitement.
Be mad at Nintendo for not giving more if you want, but they knew what they were doing. It worked. It worked brilliantly. -
