  S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl Oblivion Lost 2010 Mod Pack v. 1.0 FINAL

  Oblivion Lost 2010 wants to become the essence of STALKER modding; a little big monument to this wonderful videogame and to the best
  two mods ever made for it:

  Oblivion Lost and Arsenal Mod.

  During my hard work I've tried to reach perfection in these three things: innovation, quality and stability (IQS). These are fundamentals for
  creating new and original works.

  STEP A: WHAT U NEED:
  --------------------
  --------------------

  - A legal copy of "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl" videogame;

  - SoC WW update 1.0005 must be installed before playing;

  - Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 (x64 OS recommended with more than 4 gb of RAM);

  - 3,00 GHz single core CPU or better (Intel dual and quad core CPUs recommended);

  - 3+ gb of RAM (4 gb recommended);

  - NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 recommended);

  - SATA2 7.200 rpm HDD or better (WD VelociRaptor 10.000 rpm recommended).

  - "hjsplit" tool (included in OL10 tools);

  - A compression software able to extract .zipx archives (included in OL10 tools).

  !!!WARNING!!!

  !!!Playing Oblivion Lost 2010 on a PC with poor or not adeguated HW/SW may cause instability and CTDs!!!

  STEP B: PRE-INJECTION STEPS:
  ----------------------------
  ----------------------------

  - A clean S.T.A.L.K.E.R. installation is required to let the mod pack perform better;

  - You can defrag both HDD and system registry before injection procedure;

  - You have to delete ALL your savegames: OL10 doesn't support vanilla saves;

  - You have to download the archive "OL10_tools.zip" archive to get "hjsplit" tool and WinZip demo

  !!!Be sure that your OS drive or partition has the letter "C:\". Installing games into drives named different than “C:\” may cause reading issues!!!

  STEP C: INJECTION STEPS:

  !!!WARNING!!!

  !!!You will download all the 10 parts "soc_OL10_v1.zipx.001-010" to begin injection procedure!!!
  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  - Launch SoC for the first time to let "STALKER-SHOC" folder and "user.ltx" files be auto-generated;

  - Exit SoC;

  - Install WinZip demo;

  - Launch "hjsplit.exe";

  - Click on: "Join" and select "soc_OL10_v1.zipx.001" file. The other nine parts will be automaticaly added;

  - After this, you will obtain a "soc_OL10_v1.zipx" archive;

  - Extract "soc_OL10_v1.zipx" with WinZip demo into your SoC installation directory (ex. "C:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl");

  - Navigate into "gamedata\shaders\z-#user-ltx.module#" and select a pre-modded user.ltx preset ("#4_argus#" recommended);

  - Copy the modded user.ltx file into "STALKER-SHOC" directory, overwriting the vanilla file;

  - Launch SoC again and have fun!

  This folder contains a mini-virtual image that (whit tools like VCD) you could use to play SoC without DVD, ONLY to PRESERVE the latter from deteriorating.

  REMEMBER: if you use this image with a non-legal SoC version, you will VIOLATE copyright and moral laws, so: THINK OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!

  This folder contains five useful tools you could use to customize SoC.

  REMEMBER: OL10 xr_3DA.exe has already been patched with "3GB_Enabler" tool (to let SoC engine use 3+ gb of RAM), so you DON'T need to re-patch it!

  Remember to attach your X-Ray log file, so It will be more easy to find and fix problems.

  !!!KNOWN BUGS AND CTDs!!!
  -------------------------

  The unique OL10-native bug I have noticed is that - sometimes - NPCs will attack you without real motivation. This is due to mods "Clothes do Make
  the Man" and "Rules of Engagement". This issue is casual, so it does't happen always. If you encounter problems with NPCs, try to reload your last
  savegame.

  OL10 may crash:

  - If the creature "Controller" is under attack (so, it changes its state). This is a common SoC-native CTD -:- Reload your last savegame and try
  to kill the Controller as fast as you can;

  - Attacking the mercenary group in Cordon. This may happen sometimes, but it is a rare CTD -:- What do you have to do? Re-load your last savegame;

  - If you are playing it on a poor-HW PC -:- What do you have to do? If you encounter too many CTDs, disable all background SW into your OS and
  try to lower SoC graphics details;

  - If you try to edit mod files: wrong changes may cause instability and CTDs -:- What do you have to do? Do NOT edit files contained in the folder
  "gamedata";

  - If your base .zipx mod archive has got some corrupted files. This may happen sometimes downloading large files from some mirrors -:- What do you
  have to do? If you think that one or more mod parts are corrupted, please tell me: I will upload fresh files; otherwise try to download a fresh
  copy of the mod from another mirror;

  - If your PC is affected by malware -:- What do you have to do? Check you OS with a virus removal tool (ex. Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool 2011);

  - If your PC has got some damaged or instable HW -:- What do you have to do? Check your HW with diagnostic tools (ex. Everest Ultimate, MemTest etc.);
