  R&D Engineer

  Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:

  The Budapest site of Nokia Siemens Networks is focusing on customer centric solutions driven by the latest market demands incorporating the most advanced technologies in the mobile world. Your role as R&D engineer will be to participate in an agile, motivated and professional software development team to find and implement solutions to the upcoming requirements and issues.

  The following products are being developed in Budapest team:
  • Customer Experience Management solution – java technology based software system
  • Serve atOnce Device Manager (SADM) – java technology based server
  • Home Location Register (HLR) – GSM core network element, developed in C++

  Requirements:
  • Graduating students, MSc or BSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or a similar subject
  • Software development, testing and engineering knowledge
  • Capability to read and analyze technical documentation
  • Good command of English

  Advantages:
  • Knowledge of mobile networks, the functionality and procedures in GSM Systems
  • Knowledge of software testing/integration methodology
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented principles and Java or C++ language
  • Programming skills with script languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
  • Linux administration experience and/or expertise with Oracle database
  • Experience in cloud computing or Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model
