    Dear SJCAM manufacturer and resellers,

    I got my brand new sjcam 5000x elite today via NL post ( http://www.17track.net/en/result/post.shtml?nums=RS353359045NL ).
    I ordered it via sjcam.com (with 10$ coupon)

    The overall quality is really good at price, the video/photo, the plastic parts, housing, accessories also.

    The only one and big issue is the sound. The sound/noise is so silent, i can't hear anything or can't able to understand (speech).

    factory 1.1 firmware but updated to 1.2.1
    serial nr.: 201511054823
    the verification key is 5-4-5-4 format on the box (and of course valid)

    In first case I don't want to send back my camera to China, because this will be an xmas gift, and only 10 days to Dec 24. Afterwards i also don't want to pay for the shipping fee / tax / vat for the return.

    Solutions from my side:

    1) Do exchange via WayteQ Europe Kft.
    2) Resend replacement

    Or any other idea ?

    In my self defens. Without solution i have to start a dispute on paypal before 2016 (in 45 days from payment).

    Attached our latest firmware V1.2.2 to upgrade.
    Will you try to refresh your firmware and check if the voice will back to work again.

    For now, we accept camera return for replacement.
    But as you said, it will be dealy for your coming xmas.
    We suggest you to contact your seller directly to ask for aftersale service.
    If they will not offer it, then please contact us.

    Thank you for your fast response.

    I installed the latest fw (1.2.2) and the colors are under saturated.

    By the way, please don't fool me about the firmware upgrade. I am an R&D electrical engineer and obvious this is a hardware (design) failure.
    Discalculated RC filter, wrong gian adjustment, or the tracks are poorly designed. Or the microphone/hole is in the wrong position.

    This is the first SJCAM product which i bought, and i thought "this emerging Chinese brand deserved a chance". Especially this is an "elite" series.
    I don't want to blame anybody or anything, but if i do a mistake, i have to keep a responsibilities and correct myself.

    I read a lot of topics yesterday about this sound problem, and mostly the users thinking the same about this customer care ...

    ​I just want to solve the problems! But still sorry for my poor knowledge on hardware and software.

    ​Yes, we accept the volume issues and aslo need take responsibility of this.
    ​So, can you confirm with us if you will send back the camera to your seller or send to us directly for replacement.

    Thank you for your patience and the honest answer.

    Oficially the send back method is OK, but you know, one week and Christmas Eve (in Hungary we give gift to our loves at this intimate night, bigger family lunch at Dec 25 or 26)

    So, to fasten the procedure:

    You have an EU warehouse or good partnership with any official distributor? ( WayteQ Europe Kft. )

    Because this is a known volume issue and your company should recall all the wrong cameras, and you missed it.
    I will make contact and send my camera to WayteQ as soon as possible, and they should send me from the new batch.

    You (SJCAM) have to compensate the re-seller (doesn't matter which one, in my opinion).

    In this case, i can trust in SCJAM and kindly offer to my friends.
